Yahoo email account gone mad?
-
My husband's yahoo account has gone mad. First off, several emails I have sent him have been returned within 24 hours. Secondly, he was trying to save an email to his drafts folder today and was told that he had too much stored in his account and needed to empty his trash. (There was nothing IN his trash and he only has a handful of emails WITH NO PICTURES on his account.) Thirdly, he is seeing that he has 5 or so new emails yet by his inbox link on the left side it says he has none (or less than the amount he is showing.) And last of all, he tried to send an email and was told that it was sent but his account has been locked for his security and was not saved to his sent folder...Then it said that his account has blocked from sending, recieving or saving emails. What? Was it sent or was it not sent? Is anyone else having problems?

Answer:
Yahoo has been having ongoing major server issues since at LEAST last Wednesday, seemingly just w/particular servers. And the problems are not just w/Yahoo Beta or IE7; I and others not using either are having similar problems. But both do have more problems; if you're using Beta, it's still in the testing stage and has a lot of problems, so go back to original Yahoo mail, and the same w/IE7, go back to IE6 until MS irons out all the problems. I've had to use another acct.provided free by my ISP to send/rcv important e-mails since last Wed., and it's been working just fine the whole time. If you don't have another acct.w/another provider besides Yahoo, I'd strongly advise to get one; it makes a good backup in case of problems like this. Please see my posting from Fri. Jan. 12 under the heading "Anyone having problems of any kind w/Yahoo Mail, PLEASE READ THIS" for more info and on reporting problems to Yahoo. And since that original posting, they've also sent another e-mail that they've escalated the problem (or should I say problems!) to their engineering department, which is an indication of major problems, and not just a minor S/W "glitch."

That's sad. He can not save sent messeger in the Draft Folder. Maybe some of his email have huge attachments. You can change the options of how mail emails you see a page, in Mail Options. When you say the email retern in 24 hours, do you mean like bounce back? I had a sending problem too, tell him to swich bach to the origanal Yahoo! Mail, it should fix all there problems.
