Can a person be able to find your computer ID just from an email you sent?
-
Is there a way for a person to be able to track your computer ID or personal information by an email you sent? I want to send an email to someone I know but want to do so in a way they won't figure out it's me. So I am making a different new account to do so. But what I want to make sure before doing so is whether that person would b able to know it's me or can track my computer and find it's me who's sending it just if I send an email? I am not sure what info is given, and I don't want any personal info to this person. That's why I am thinking to use another email account for this reason, I notice lots people are "fake" for this reason or put up false information about themselves. Yes; I know it sounds "cowardly" to say things online and not in person, but trust me the reason I'm doing this is because I want this person to stop harassing me (and some my friends). of course I'm not saying my name or thers in there, that's why I want it to be unknown. I just cannot face and speak to this person again because I have already tried and am afraid if I do again, it will just lead me to more trouble. This person has been such a bully to me and many other friends and I'm trying to see if there's a way I can write what I want to say through email (maybe even to possibly "bother" this person) but in a way that this bully cannot track me down. I am already aware so much info on the internet can be tracked by others, it's just so creepy. So can a person know your computer ID or other personal info just by your email? (And I mean without sending any attachments because obviously you can see the persons' id like that.) Thanks in advance for any advice also regarding the matter, I am just not sure which way/method is the best to tell a person without confronting them.

Answer:
No, the only thing they may be able to see is the IP address of the mail server if they look at the header but they will no be able to track it back to you themselves. But, if law enforcement were to get involved with the help of the ISP they could trace it back to the computer it was sent from. But the person you are sending to will not be able to by themself.
