How can I find a friend on Yahoo?

How can I find out if my long lost friend's yahoo address is still working?

  • I've been trying to contact a friend at their yahoo address. It's been a couple years and I'm wondering if the address is still alive. I've had no postmaster replies, but then, I've received no replies from my friend (and they would). Any suggestions on how I can figure out if the email address is still being used? Thank you!

    Attempt to make a new Yahoo account with your friends ID, if it's taken, then the email account is still in existance.

Try and obtain a new Yahoo account with that name. If it isn't available then it is still current.

It's possible your friend did receive your email. Sometimes when we have a lot of emails, get busy and/or don't check email regularaly, it's easy to miss one altogether. And if it's been 2 years, she may no longer have your address listed in her Address Book, and your email could have gone into her Spam/Bulk folder of whatever email service she is using. If you didn't receive a delivery failure notice, the email address is definitely in use and working, and probably by your friend. Yahoo would never give you the name of a person using an address.

If you have not received a notice that the email was not delivered then it is still an active email. You'll have to contact your friend another way.
