Just because the email says it is from a Yahoo domain doesn't mean it is actually from Yahoo. Spammers are programmers. They can make the impossible seem very much possible. eBay is one of the most common subjects of email scams, with literally millions of fraudulent emails sent out as if they are from eBay. Be smart about your own handling of all incoming emails. NEVER open mails from people or companies you don't know or don't fully trust. If you get even the least little bit of a gut feeling that an email is spam, DELETE it!!

The only way they could filter out scams would be to intercept everyones e mails and read them. Would you want the post office to open your letters to check they weren't junk mail? It's the price we pay for privacy.
