Is my MSN account being used by someone else?

I have an account that someone else used to run, now the emails still say her name. how do i change that?

  • we use the account for our craft fairs and she used to email all the vendors and now we have split and i manage the account. I have added many new vendors and they don't know her or her name, so when they get the emails with her name they delete them and i have to explain the whole story to them and resend the emails. how can i get her name off the top of the emails? I went in and changed everything in the account so why is it still there>?

  • Answer:

(It might just take a couple of days to change, or you forgot to SAVE the changes.) To change the 'From:' name, for Mail: In Classic Mail, open Options, then Mail Options, Accounts. Click 'Yahoo! Mail' or even the 'Yahoo! Mail Extra Address'. In the 'Your From name:' box in the right pane, fill in what you wish to show, then remember to go to the top and Save Changes. You must show something here, but it could even be a nickname or your e-mail address. This will show on all mail sent from your account. In the new Regular mail (formerly Beta), click Options, then Mail Options, Accounts. Click Yahoo Mail in the right-hand window. Across from 'From', delete and change to what should be displayed. Remember to click the Save Changes icon at the top. You must show something here, but it could even be a nickname. This will show on all mail sent from your account. If you leave this field blank, your e-mail address will show. (Ribbit)
