I want to get rid of the message "Messenger: You have 1 unheard voice mail" when I log into Yahoo! Mail. How?

I know I can log into Yahoo! Messenger to hear this "unheard voice mail" but I never, ever plan on downloading Yahoo! Messenger again after someone once attacked me through it (long story; let's just say you leave your computer vunerable when you use this piece-of-**** instant messaging garbage). Anyway, it's annoying to read a message in Yahoo! Mail everytime I log in that tells me about this unheard voice mail. Anyone know what I can do to get rid of this message WITHOUT having to either download Yahoo! Messenger OR hearing this unheard voice mail?
