Just got an email from yahoo saying a phone number was added to an account I don't know, what to do?
-
The emails states if the changes don't seem accurate to click on the link below and all that does is take me back to sign into my email account. When I check my account settings, I don't see the number. I called the number added and some guy answered the phone but I didn't say anything. Is this bogus? Or is it something deeper like a sign of identitiy theft? Could the email have possibly been a virus and I shouldn't have clicked on it? BTW, the phone number is a local number to the area I live in.

Answer:
It's not really from Yahoo. It's a scam. They are trying to steal your password by getting your to go to their bogus login page and enter it. Do not respond to it. Do not enter you pass word on their link. Just delete it and forget about it.
