How to know which email addresses in my contacts are inactive?

Deleted email contacts and never-entered email addresses pop up when I try to address emails in my "To" line.?

• How do I delete these email addresses? Even people I once sent emails to pop up in the auto-fill when I try to address emails to recipients. I have deleted contacts in my contacts list, and they are NOT in my list but still on the auto-fill. This is annoying, as some of the ones popping up are doubles of recent contacts, with their old/deleted email addresses still on them. I don't know usually which are the current emails! Also, people I sent an email to once and did not put into my contacts, their email address pops up in the auto-fill. What? I have snooped a little but cannot figure out how to get rid of these. This is something newer, as it didn't happen in the past. Also, how do I go back to Yahoo Classic? I hate the new Yahoo Mail. I have followed a couple of instructions listed under Yahoo but cannot find what they are suggesting!

  Hello there, The deleted email addresses are still stored in a portion of your Yahoo! address book in the "Deleted Contacts" Folder. Use this link to access your Yahoo! address book directly: http://address.yahoo.com/ Click the "View all Contacts" drop down menu, and select "Deleted Contact". Choose the contacts stored there on the left hand side, and select "Delete Permanently" on the right. There have been many glitches in the system, and Yahoo! is to automatically delete them, but it has not been occurring. To get back to Classic mail, try #1 below as it is easiest but listing many options as each person is unique, and has a different computer running various versions of Windows, different monitors, different preference of browser, variable connections to the internet and capability. #1) Click this link to take you to the New Yahoo!
