How Can I Block Someone From E-Mailing Me?

How can I block someone from EMAILING me on Yahoo! Mail?

  • Bottome line- one of my friends gave someone I know my email, and they keep emailing me/sending invites to my email and I don't want them anymore. (LOL I lied to the person, saying that email's won't go through to my account). How do I block them and will it give them a notice when they try and email me saying "______@___.com has blocked you"? Or will it be impossible for them to know I've blocked them?

  • Answer:

    On your mail screen over to the right, click Options, then click Mail or More options. On the list to the left, click Spam, either type or copy and paste the email address in the block, click Add block. Upper left click Save Changes. They will not get a notice of the block, it will not be returned to them, it will be deleted upon arrival at your account. They will just think you are ignoring them.

Go to "options ↬ mail/more options ↬ spam" and add the address to the block list. They are not notified and the mail just disappears. It does not even go to spam or trash. ₪ ʎəɿʞɹɐq ₪

Mark one of their emails as junk or spam then all their emails to you will automatically go to the junk folder without opening.
