How do I set up instant messaging on yahoo?

How do I set up Yahoo instant messaging for myself. Can't seem to figure it out.?

• I can find many instructions for setting up Yahoo messenger with voice but can't find like 1, 2, 3, 4, easy instructions on how to set up plain old yahoo instant messenger. I know you still have it but am at a total loss as of how to start to set it up. I have used it one other time and have no problems when its set up but I can't figure out just exactly how to do it. Could you please help me I'm very frustrated at this point. I want to use it so when friends in other states are online I can know and vice a versa.   There is no plain yahoo messenger to my knowledge. Just install the messenger with voice and it will do all the same things and plain yahoo messenger but you'll be able to listen to music and do some other things so more than likely you will like the new messenger better anyway.
