If my Yahoo account was stolen, is there any way to retrieve it?

If an email message in your Yahoo account gets erased, is there any way to retrieve it?

  • Some important messages were in my daughter's Yahoo email account (at least as late as Oct-Nov 2011). She checked her inbox today and the messages were gone. Is there any way to recover these messages? If necessary, the senders' contact information can be provided.

  • Answer:

    You can only do that if they are still in the trash. Once they have been deleted from there they are gone forever. Sorry but that's the way it works.
