How can I cancel or discontinue my yahoo mail account?

  • I dont want to use one of my yahoo mails so how do I cancel it?

    If you go into your email and go to Options (upper right hand side) then go to Mail. You can divert all email to 1 email account. Keep in mind, Yahoo uses the same ID & Password for all of their products. You can have a hundred Yahoo accounts, which also means that you have a hundred email accounts, messenger accounts, answers accounts and so on. You can divert all your email to go to one yahoo email account. You can also delete a Yahoo account (which means you also delete that same ID & Password from messenger, answers and whatever else it uses). Log into Yahoo Account you want to Delete, then go to My Account (next to the Sign Out) and you will have to re-enter your password again, then you can completely cancel that account from there. u just don't operate for sometime since u have to discontinue and but keep in mind before that just cancel all the details and make it empty so no one can misuse them in future and after certain period it will be automatically deleted

Ignore it and it will go away. Seriously, after four months if you have not logged on, it will be completely deleted.

Just stop using the account and it will eventually disappear in time...

Just stop logging in. Leave it alone for about 1-3 months and it will disappear. If you plan to do this (like I did) empty all your folders and your address book etc. just for safety's sake.

Just quit logging in, and Yahoo will release the name eventually. There really isn't a cancel button or anything like that.

I think in about four months it will disappear there isn't a cancel button like on my-space and places like that.
