Why all my yahoo sent folder is deleted?

Why is my Motorola Droid yahoo email account filling the Sent mailbox with thousands of duplicate emails?

I'm reposting this issue reported by Paul W in 12/2009 because I noticed that it was considered a "Resolved Question", though clearly it hasn't been resolved. "I have deleted over 10,000 duplicate messages sent by my motorola Droid using my yahoo account - I get thousands of duplicate messages dumped into my Sent folder - but not to the end recipient... How do I fix this before I hit the memory limit or fill my box with nothing but thousands of duplicate messages?" Yahoo, I'm waiting for an answer on this question that has been posted on many sites; clearly a known issue. I have the same problem. Getting tired of deleting the sent emails, hundreds at a time!
