How to read blank email?

I want to know if the email I send to someone is read or not. How can I set up my email for this function?

Yahoo's free email does not have a read receipt function.

try to find status button on your email page most sites have this it will tell you sent read or replied the buttons are always in diffrent places and you really have to search for them
