No its not true its just people trying to frea you out... if yahoo was really closing down im pretty sure it would be on the news..or in its blog or liketomdoeson myspace..when he wants to get something out he posts his own blog..or bulletin..if it was from yahoo! it would say sent from Yahoo! or Yahoo! management

No, it's spam. Ignore and delete it. Any type of email that requires you to send to lots of other people, telling them to tell other people and so on is chainmail, which is a type of spam. Just ignore and delete it

Definitely a hoax. Wonder if there is a spy package loaded somewhere in the message that will redirect your addresses to a server that can then be used for phishing those you send to. Also, is it some ones sick way of trying to cause denial of service on a company by flooding the service.

Laid back

No only the poor 20 people you send it to! lol Don't send it, it is trash delete it, when ever you get something like that go to the source not in the mail that you received but directly to yahoo themselves. I received one a few years ago saying my account was going to be deleted unless I respond to the mail. Well back then I didn't realize it was trash, someone trying to fish my account. I responded but since I am a night owl the time was past. Every time I tried responding I would get an error saying that address does not exist anymore. I panicked and made another account so when I lost my account I would have another to take care of all my groups I moderated and owned. Then I wrote yahoo directly, they said yes there were hackers trying to get peoples information, they told me just delete it. I found out how lucky I was that when I found that mail those hackers had already left and moved on to other people. So the main thing of this whole story is, Just Delete it! If you are unsure you can always go to Yahoo Help for the true fact of what is going on, plus this helps report this kind of stuff for other users.
