Why am I not able to open my yahoo mail on my laptop?

Why doesn't the new Yahoo mail load on my Laptop?

• This is a problem that I only face on my laptop. On my work computer, everything is fine but on my laptop (hp with windows XP), 95% of the time, when I try to open my yahoo mail, I get a message on the right top corner saying "Loading yahoo mail" and eventually it never loads and it says "There seems to be a glitch, try reloading the page or switching to Mail Classic". Of course, reloading the page doesn't work either and I have to switch to mail classic almost everytime I want to check my mail. I am thinking the only difference between IE7 on my laptop and IE7 at work is that the IE7 I have on my laptop is optimized for Yahoo with a Yahoo toolbar. Could that be the problem, or any other ideas? Thx

  I have seen this happen on my laptop too, but here's the catch - my laptop is one that is given to me from office. It belongs to my company, so they have put a lot of restrictions on my IE settings which I cannot change. Most notably, I am not allowed to download anything, Active X is prohibited from running on my laptop and certain scripting options are disabled. A combination of all this prevents the new Yahoo mail on loading cleanly on my laptop. Your laptop may or may not have the same problem. Here's something you can try - add *.yahoo.com to the Trusted Zones in your laptop's IE. The security settings in Trusted Zone are much lower which means most Active X and scripting options are Enabled. Try and let me know
