What did happen to yahoo spell check?

I can not get my spell check to work on your new yahoo ..I push on the line for spell check and?

  • the spell check and nothing happens. I need help if any one can help..I jhave pushed all buttons. The check says spell Check but then it does not fix the incorrect words that I have typed for e-mail,,help.

  • Answer:

If you are using Beta Mail, at the moment, the spell check only underlines but does not offer corrections. (Yahoo is working on this suggestion for future changes in Beta.) When you are composing a message in Rich Text, click on the format tab and spell check will be on that menu on the right hand side. Meanwhile, there is a browser extension for all type-in sites for Internet Explorer called IE Spell. http://www.iespell.com/ Another one is Speckie. http://www.speckie.com/features/ where you right-click the mis-spelled words to get the suggested corrections. The IE Spell program installs as a new button in the IE toolbar, as well as a new menu item under 'Tools', and in the right-click menu too. After filling in a form or mail, just click the ieSpell button and it pops up a dialog, similar to the MS Word spell check. - Suggestions are sorted by the degree of closeness with the misspelled word. - Easily add/remove your personal words in ieSpell via a personal dictionary - Works for any web page when you type.
