How do you set yahoo as your default mail client?

How do I set up the Yahoo Default Mail Client?

  • When ever I try to click on an email button in a web sight to send an email to a person, all I get is a notice telling me that the "Default Mail Client" is not setup. How in the name of The Blessed Mother do I set this function up? I am going bloody well flipping bonkers trying to figure it out!

    Well----it depends on what browser you're using AND which provider you want as the default. Click this link, (below) from Yahoo, for detailed instructions on making "Yahoo" (?) your default mail client on *Internet Explorer*.(?) You WILL be required to download Yahoos "newest" toolbar----use the "download" link that is on that page, to be sure and get the correct one. That download adds Yahoo! Mail to your PC's list of email programs to choose from. (follow the instructions, by clicking on the-- "Install the Yahoo Mail Plug-in, and make Yahoo Mail my default mail provider"--checkbox.) THEN, after you've chosen Yahoo! Mail as your PC's default email application (client), Yahoo!
