What happens if u put the wrong zip code?

What happens if you accidentally write the zip code wrong in mail and already send it?

• okay, so i wrote the name of the person i sent the mail to and the correct address, city and correct state but the zip code was wrong. i accidentally wrote 94208 instead of 92408. will that affect the mail at all? i wrote everything else correct except the zip code but i know the zip code is very important and i can't resend it cause i already did and just realized my mistake. what was in the mail i sent was a check for money so its very important. the zip code i was sending to was san bernardino but accidentally sent it to a zip code in sacramento.
