Does the Yahoo pop-up blocker stop the audio in email messages?

How do I turn off the yahoo ads that popup over my email each time I change pages. My popup blocker is working?

the ads at the top of my yahoo email pages will automatically popup in a new window requiring me to remove them each time I load a new email page and sometimes while I am on the same page it will popup 5 to 10 times a minute. I am so angry with yahoo for forcing their advertisers down my throat. Aren't they supposed to help fight spam? Shame, shame on yahoo.
