How do I change my email sender name?

My sent email has my given name as the sender - How do I change this to the name that my friends know?

    You just need to change the "from line" setting. Mail page>>options (top right)>>mail options>>and the "general" page opens. Near the top of that page----erase the name that shows on the From line and type in something else---a nickname ----- or whatever suits you-----then click "save" changes at the top or bottom of page. Just in case you're using the "New Mail". Mail page>>options>>mail options>>accounts (side panel)>>add/edit an account>>Yahoo mail (side panel)>>edit>>general preferences----and change it and save it.
