How do I get my avatar on my profile?

HOW the heck do I get rid of the name under my avatar? There is no place to EDIT PROFILE when I sign in!!!?

  • This question has been asked and answered but when I go to my AVATAR page, there is no "edit profile" option on the upper corner of my screen. I'm going insane trying to figure this out. Someone answered click on your avatar when you sign in. My avatar doesn't show up when I sign in. My avatar only shows up during CHATS. What am I doing wrong?????

  • Answer:

For Yahoo Instant Messenger: To change you name as it appears in IM box: 1. Log into Yahoo! Messenger. 2. Click on "Messenger." 3. Click on "My Contact Details." 4. Change the name that appears in the first box and delete the second and third boxes. 5. If you'd rather use the nickname field, delete both your first and last name and enter the name you would like to display in the IM box. 6. Click "Apply" and OK.

Other answers

Of course you can edit your profile! You click on your avatar or click on "My Profile" on the upper right. Then you click "Edit My Info" (kind of self-explanatory), and edit away. There's a place to change the name you use on Yahoo! Answers. If you make a change, be sure to click "Preview" and "OK" to save your changes. If you don't want your nickname to appear at all, nothing you can do about that.
