How can I retrieve my BCC?

If I use bcc, all recipients are shown. I do not want all recipients shown. My only option is "Show BCC".?

  • Here is the HELP ANSWER: Bcc: stands for "blind carbon copy." This is similar to the Cc: feature, except that bcc: recipients are invisible to all the other recipients of the message (including other Bcc: recipients). For example, if you send a message To: [email protected] and Bcc: [email protected], then johndoe sees himself as the message's only recipient. Janedoe, on the other hand, is "in the know"—she can see that you sent the message To: johndoe, and that you blind-copied her. To add an entry in the Bcc: field, click the "Show BCC" link to the right of the "To:" field. HOWEVER, MY MESSAGE SCREEN ONLY SHOWS "Show BCC". If I use what the screen shows, DO ALL RECIPIENTS SHOW? SHOULDN'T IT READ HIDE BCCS?" Please help me on this, I have so many I want to forward but do not want all of the recipients to show. I will show myself in the "To" section but what then? Note: To send a message, you must always specify at least one recipient in the "To:" field. If you don't, an error message appears when you attempt to send the message.

  • Answer:

IN the To: area, put your own address. When you click 'Show BCC', that opens a box where you type all the addresses that are sent as Blind Carbons. The only information that each recipient will see is From: You and To: Them. (You won't even see them all in the mail that goes to your own Inbox!) Congratulations! By using BCC, and also deleting all other e-mail addresses in Forwarded mails, you help deter those dratted spammers. Urge all your contacts to do the same.

Other answers

Clicking on "Show BCC" opens up an additional address line called BCC. That is where you put the addresses. No one will see them. ₪ ʎəɿʞɹɐq ₪
