Can I edit the yahoo email address that shows in the "From" line to an alias email address?

  • When receiving mail from my yahoo address it says, My Name, ([email protected]) in the from line. Is there any way to edit that to the alias email address?

  • Answer:

    You can change the FROM name and the REPLY TO address on the "General Preferences" page. The FROM name can't be blank but you can change it to anything including the email address itself. You can also make an account within your account called an ALIAS account and you can use that one for sign in and emailing http://edit.yahoo.com/config/list_alias click on the link to get one. Let your contacts know your new addy, Go to "Options" > mail options >announce Email Address > enter new address. Then enter the people you wish to know your new addy and add a message if you wish >Preview and send announcement. and that's it good luck. Jes***
