How do I change the default font color of my personal outgoing messages?

Somehow I got my new message font color stuck on red. I can't figure out how to change it back.

Answer:
when you click on COMPOSE you will see a long box below the subject line with many icons...Place your arrow over each one and it will tell you what they are for...one is for COLOR. just above this box it should say PLAIN TEXT ...if not click on RICH TEXT (I think that is the name) and you will go to PLAIN TEXT..good luck
