    Go to your profile, click "edit my info", set up a 360° page, load up a pic (it has to be a .jpg, preferrably 48x48 pixels), mark "set as primary", click "preview" and then "okay"! If you don't know how to resize a pic, don't worry, Yahoo will still show it in an appropriate size. If you prefer a Yahoo Avatar go to the link below to create/change one. Next go to your profile, click "edit my info", click "use my Yahoo avatar", click "preview" and then "ok". http://avatars.yahoo.com/

If you mean changing an icon on your desktop...Just 'right click' the existing icon, then click on properties, then you will see Change Icon...click on that, and you will see tons of different icons...just move the bar across from left to right to see them all. When you see the icon that you wish, click on it, then click OK, then click Apply, then OK again, and that will automatically change your icon.
