How do I make my avatar my picture?

Does anyone know how to make an avatar for my display picture?

I want to make an avatar for my yahoo picture, but cannot figure out how for the life of me. Someone please help! It will let me upload my own photo, but I do not want to do that, I want to make an avatar cartoon thingy.
Answer:

On any Answers page----mouse over the "My Activity" tab and then click on "edit my preferences". On that page-----Scroll to pictures and under 1st frame, click "edit my avatar". The avatar page opens where you can create an avatar that you like. THEN click SAVE. Now go back to My Activity----to "edit my preferences". Your new avatar should be showing in the frame. Under it----click "use Yahoo avatar". Now---finally---scroll to and click on "preview and OK". It should show up immediately.
