Answer:
Everything about Yahoo Mail Plus: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/classic/mailplus/overview/;_ylt=AvMEBmP2f_oyY8fjz7CiRNKQuyR4 As you can see, Mail Plus has some interesting features, but I've read complaints by users right here on YA that it is not completely free of ads. Of course Yahoo won't reveal it, but there are ways indeed to get rid of those ads even in your free mail account! One of my contacts is from Bangladesh, whenever I checked up on his questions or answers, I always got ads displayed afterwards of some Indian Matrimonial sites - that got me wondering, especially since I am a female German silver surfer. Then some time ago Yahoo had technical problems and accidentally placed a script in the box on the YA pages instead of the flash ads normally displayed. That's when I found out that adyield-manager is used to place personalized ads - it uses cookies to track your browsing habits, so you may get a different ad displayed than somebody sitting right next to you. That prompted me to look for solutions since I don't like to get spied upon, and I found several good solutions... Download and install the latest Firefox browser: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html Also install "adblock plus": https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865 Also install the "noscript add-on": https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/722/ Result: no more annoying ads! And pages are loading much quicker too...:-) http://www.admuncher.com/ - this adblocker for the IE (and other browsers) gets highly recommended in several forums. http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/26171/safari-adblock - for Safari Mac http://opindian.com/blog/2009/02/25/adblock-solution-for-safari-4-windows-and-mac/ - another solution for Safari 4 Win and Mac. The solutions mentioned above do not only work on YA, they work on most webpages!
