How do I make my own e-mail address?

I want to make something like [email protected]. How do I do that? Do I have to buy a domain first and then I'll automatically get the e-mail address? Could someone please tell me how to get one through Yahoo? Thank you. the first part of the e-mail address should be the same as the second part e.g. [email protected]. The part before .com is what I want to customize.
