How can I only show email address and not my name with outgoing mail?

On Yahoo mail beta how do I get the email to only display the email address and not my name?

  • I do not want my name displayed when I email someone and would prefer to remain anomyous and only show the email address. I am using Yahoo beta mail.

  • Answer:

From Yahoo Mail Help Page: Click Options in the upper-right corner of your Yahoo! Mail page. Under “Management”, click General Preferences. Right at the top, in the “From name:” box, enter your name how you’d like it to appear in the "From:" line of your outgoing messages. Example: “Sally Tiptoes”. If you want, you can also adjust the email address to which people send messages when they click “Reply”. If you leave the “Reply to:” field blank, your Yahoo! Mail address is the return address. Specify a different return address by entering it after “Reply to:”. Click Save to put your new settings into effect. Note: “From” can’t contain special characters like the "@" symbol. And, the address in “Reply to:” can’t exceed 40 characters.

I do not find anything to change the option in yahoo beta. But use original old yahoo mail to change option and then switch to new beta, this may help. Switch to old original yahoo mail, go to option -> mail option -> General preference. In the first line there is an option "Name and Email". Remove your name in the From Name text box. Save option and switch back to yahoo beta. Enjoy!
