How do u change avatar to a real picture of yourself?

I want to change my avatar to a picture of myself but idk how HELP !

*For profile picture* Go here: http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my_edit Below 'use my profile picture', click 'edit my profile picture.' On the picture on the screen (your avatar), click where it says 'change photo.' Choose a picture from your hard drive, and once you are finish click ok. On the other page click 'use my profile picture.' Click submit and okay once you are done.

1st one for a pic, second for an avatar. Click on view my profile. Double click on your picture or avatar where it says change your picture.Box opens with options to upload a picture. Upload the picture from your computer, select it and you are done. Go to edit my preferences at the top right of your home page. You will see a grey smiley marked get my avatar now. Click that and you can create your avatar on the page that opens.

PICTURE Go to Yahoo profile http://profiles.yahoo.com/ put the arrow in the box where the grey smylie face is and you will see a popup that says (Change Photo), click it. Another box will open click on Add Photo now click Browse. This will bring up all the files on your computer. Click the folder with the green up arrow untill you locate a file that says My Documents, then search the list for a file called My Pictures and double click it. This will bring up all your pictures, select the picture that you want and click it the file name will appear in the top box, click open, 2. Enter the text displayed in the box. And click Upload. You will go back to the select photo box. Click one time on the picture a orange box will appear around the picture then select Use Selected Photo. Repeat to add more pictures. Don't forget to scroll to the bottom of the page and click Preview then OK.
