Why doesn't my avatar show on the yahoo email page?

I've looked under options, and have also looked under avatar help which states that the avatar will be displayed in yahoo mail. But I still don't see my avatar.

You won’t see your Avatar on the welcome page anymore when you log in new classic mail the option has been removed. You can see what changes have been made for new Classic mail with the link below. http://help.yahoo.com/l/uk/yahoo/mail/cl...
