How do I delete a folder in my email?

How do I delete an email folder with 5,000 messages in it?

  • I want to delete an email folder that I used for a listserv. I could not keep up with the messages and now I have 5,000. I know I can only delete an empty folder, but is there any way to delete all those messages without going page by page and deleting 25 at a time?

    Highlight all the messages and click delete. Before that, go to settings or options and click into everything. In all the different settings, find "messages per page", make it as many as possible, and then highlight and delete them.

I have one question about it, do you want to deleted them in OutLook or deleting it from the email server? I guess the later, I think there is a option for you to set how may email a page displays, you can raise it to the biggest one ,then click the select All buttom ,you can deleted all of them. If there are no option above, you can use Mail2Web or other third part tool to receive email , which have some more convenient function for your to use, This is my first answer on Yahoo, and the first ansewe in English. I hope it will help me a little.

there should be something at the top of the page which saying something like.. "select all" click it, and then press delete. all the emails should be deleted at one time.
