I want 2 have font & color choices when I compose my emails. How do I access the toolbar for that?
-
When I created a signature, I clicked on "Rich Text" & had a toolbar right there to choose fonts, colors, etc. But when I go to compose an email, my only option appears to be "Plain Text." Sometimes the "plain" toolbar with all of the boring choices will be displayed; sometimes there won't be any toolbar displayed. I'm not seeing where or how I switch to rich text on the compose screen. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's my understanding that the signature I created cannot be applied to my emails unless the body of the email is typed using rich text.) If the solution is to set my mail to HTML instead of plain text, as was suggested to someone else with a similar question, I need a little more direction. When I go to Mail Options, then what? I stumbled across something on one of the screens I brought up that said something like, "Show HTML sources." I clicked on it & I'm not sure what that's about, but it didn't get me out of the plain text mode, or provide me with any choices.

Answer:
You were soooooo close, Krystal. On your mail page, click on "options"---then scroll to and click "general preferences". Scroll down to--Composing Email--and check the box------"compose with color and graphics". Now, "save" at the bottom of the page. Back on your composing page, you should now have the (html) formatting bar.

normally theres a block just below the attach file button that has a color bar and a font bar, if it doesn't have one then u might need to upgrade

Hmmmmm.....when I go to compose my e-mail I see a button there that allows you to choose a large number of colors. Will it work with Rich Text? Try it. I don't know why choosing different colors would be a problem with Rich Text.
