Is there any way the e-mails that I receive, get sent to a specific folder on my Yahoo! E-mail?
-
Instead of manually classifying the e-mails, is there a way to program my Yahoo! e-mail account, to dump each e-mail in the right folder for me, instead of doing it myself- by that time, I will have read the e-mail, so it'll be useless to classify them later on. I want that, when I open my e-mail, I check only the folders that want to read e-mails from (not spam, though), instead of going through my whole inbox to search for them. Is there any way to do that? Thanks.

Answer:
You would have to set up a personal "Filter", to re-direct incoming mail (from a designated address), to a separate folder, instead of the inbox. Mail page>>options>>mail/more options>> "Filters" (from the list on the left">>clickl add". It's pretty much self explanatory, but basically----you enter the "exact" address you want to re-direct [on the sender line]----choose a folder (or make a new one here)----then click "save changes". Put the name of the person belonging to that address, as the Name of the filter. You don't need to put anything in the other lines (since you are using the specific address on the "Sender line". AND you don't have to "match case" since you aren't sorting by key words. When you click "move to folder" you get a list of your already created folders---click on the folder you want these emails going to. Always click on Save Changes. You will have to make a filter for each address you want to redirect. Can't combind more than one address in one filter-----BUT----you can send all filters to one folder (if that 's what you want). This tutorial should answer any questions you might have about making and working with filters.. http://help.yahoo.com//us/tutorials/cg/mail/cg_filter5.html

Yes. First create as many folders as you want to sort into. Now go to "options ↬ mail/more options ↬ filters". There you can create filters based on FROM, TO, SUBJECT, or BODY and send to a specific folder. ₪ ʎəɿʞɹɐq ₪
