Want to completely eliminate a screen name from my Yahoo email account?
-
get too much junk mail. want to delete that screenname and start a new one that will be my default when I open Yahoo
-
Answer:
Open the NEW one first, transfer any contacts -- and remember if you delete your email account, you will lose ALL the attached accounts like Yahoo Answers, 360, messenger, etc. If you want to close your Yahoo email account: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/changing_users/edit-23.html that link will take you to the instructions for it. ****BE SURE to read all the warnings, though!!****

Keep the old email and use it to fill in online forms. Use a new account for personal email. Do not give it to anyone who might use it for spam.
