How do i change the yahoo messenger picture?

For the yahoo messenger does the picture have to be an avatar?? i would rather it be a picture of me or something other than an avatar!! So how do you change the picture into an ACTUAL picture, not an avatar?

yes u can... go to messenger settings and go to "my display image" click that u want to use a picture... on the right click on select and browse for the picture of ur computer.. this is base on yahoo messenger 8.1 still confuse? then contact me ;D
