How do I get the Yahoo Mail Icon onto my desktop?

  • i just bought a new computer that is running vista and i can't figure out how to get the yahoo mail icon onto the desktop. Any help would be appreciated.

    Right-click on an empty area of the website. Click CREATE SHORTCUT and then click YES. Simple as that. Another way would be to drag the little icon that is to the left of the website address at the top of Internet Explorer. Drag it all the way over to an empty area on your desktop and release the mouse button. Done. You could also right-click on an empty area of your desktop and select NEW > SHORTCUT. In the address for the shortcut, type in: http://mail.yahoo.com/ and click NEXT and then FINISH. If you wanted to change the appearance of the icon of the shortcut, you would right-click on the shortcut that is on your desktop and select PROPERTIES. In this Properties window that appears, click the WEB DOCUMENT tab (probably already selected). Then click on CHANGE ICON... Click on a new icon and click OK. Hope this helps.
