How can I know when someone opens my email?

How do i personalize my name so that when one of my friends opens my email,...?

• ...opens my emails, on the space where it says "from,subject,date,size, well on the place were it says "from" i can put my name with a smiley face :). my friend emailed me today and were it said "from: it looked like this CiNdY :), i dont even know how to explain it but, when someone emails me ,their name shows up but its the name the I chose to put as their name, so i could put like their name and last name or just the initials or what ever. how do i do it so that i can put a smiley face like this one:) when someone gets my email.

  Are you using Yahoo Mail? If so, sign in to your Yahoo Mail and click on Options on the top right, then click on General Preferences - at the top of this page it will say name & email - From Name - in this box is where you put what you want to appear i.e CiNdY :) or whatever you want. Remember to click on save on the bottom of that page and from now on when someone receives an email from you it should have your new name on it in the From line. Hope This Helps
