How do i change the gender of my avatar?

How can I change my avatar's gender?

I am a girl, but I accidentally clicked on the male avatar when I made mine. I couldn't find out how to change it, but I'm receiving a lot of harsh criticism from people who think I'm gay because of this. Please help.
