How can I delete my all mails at a time?

How does one delete more than 25 E-mails at a time ?

  • I see the answers given where others say you have to delete "One at a Time". Heck, I'm doing 25 ! But isn't there a way to delete like whole years worth of INBOX E-mails ? My original setup kept a copy of all E-mails on the Yahoo server, and has saved me many times. But now I have thousands to get rid of and it's a real PAIN ! .........HELP ! ............Thank you.

  • Answer:

With Classic Mail, it's a page by page operation---BUT---you can speed it up---a lot. Change the "messages per page" to 200 instead of 25. That makes it 8 times faster, with 200 at a time. Mail page>>options (top right)>>scroll to and click on "general preferences". Now, go down to *Folders/Search Results* and change the number in the box----then click a blank space (outside the box), to set the number, (so it won't roll to a different number), while you scroll to the bottom of the page to click "save".

Make sure that the little white box on the left side of the email is checked off. When your done checking the ones you want to delete scroll to the top or bottom of the emails and click delete. To do an entire folder click on empty next to the folder.

My email program, Yahoo, provides a little check box below the displayed messages that says "Check All." Click on that, then on Delete, that should do it. Your system may show the box somewhere else; look for it.
