How do I remove the Yahoo mail "What's New" tab?

I have a new tab on my Yahoo menu.."mail single instance". Why is it there? It doesn't 'DO' anything!!?

It doesn't link to anything and doesn't have a sub-tab menu. It has a little useless scrollbar-like tab that doesn't do anything. It has a little "down" arrow that doesn't do anything...What the heck is it for? How can I remove it?
