How do I change my avatar to an actual picture of myself?

How do you change your avatar in IM to an actual picture from your photo folder?

  • I want the picture that I have right now to show up on yahoo IM. All that I have currently is my avatar. How do you change it? Thanks!

    Click "My Activity" at top of page Select "Edit My Preferences" Click "Update photo or avatar" Follow instructions to select your photo/avatar Click "Submit" on bottom of original page when done To make a carton avatar: http://avatar.yahoo.com Make sure your pulse profile is not hidden. :o)

1st one for a pic, second for an avatar. Click on view my profile. Double click on your picture or avatar where it says change your picture.Box opens with options to upload a picture. Upload the picture from your computer, select it and you are done. Go to edit my preferences at the top right of your home page. You will see a grey smiley marked get my avatar now. Click that and you can create your avatar on the page that opens.
