The icon for Yahoo Mail for my desktop?

How to put yahoo mail icon into start menu or on desktop?

  • Yahoo mail does not appear on my desktop or when I press start button (neither does Mozilla or IE as a matter of fact) and so I have to go into my browser and search for BT Yahoo in order to get my e-mails. I cannot find the usual 'save as shortcut' icon (by pressing the right-hand button) anywhere. Please can someone help me, all I want is the icon so I can go straight from my desktop or task bar to my e-mails Many thanks

    To create a desktop icon to launch Yahoo! Mail, all you need to do is get to the Yahoo! Mail sign-in page any way you prefer. Once there don’t sign-in just yet. Shrink the browser page by clicking the middle icon beside the red X until only one computer screen icon shows to allow you to see a portion of the Desktop. Then mouse up to the browser’s address bar (the part with the http:// stuff) and drag the little Y! icon beside the address from your browser to a visible portion of your desktop. Desktop Shortcut Icon - Depending on which browser you have, as well as whether you are on a Mac or PC, you’ll get a little shortcut graphic representing your browser. You can also see that the name of the shortcut is based on the name of the page it is pointing to (apologies to Mac users who will have to settle for the URL). You can rename it with a good ol’ slow double click, and have it say whatever you like. P.S. You can make icons for IE and Mozilla that way too.

The quickest and easiest way is------ With your email page open----(OR, any page you want a shortcut for)----RIGHT click on a blank space, and in the drop menu, click on "Create Shortcut". It appears immediately on your desktop, and works perfectly to take you directly to that page.
