How do I get a mail icon on desktop?

  • I've inadvertently removed yahoo.mail from my COMPUTER and need to reinstall it. I also need the mail icon on desktop. How do I reinstall all of this?

Go to http://mail.yahoo.com . Right-click on any of the white spaces, choose 'Create Chortcut' . A pop-up message will ask if you want a desktop shortcut. Click 'Yes' And there you have it...the big red Y! on your desktop.

Yahoo mail is NOT installed on your computer, so you couldn't have removed it ---accidentally or otherwise. Likewise---you can't install it---it's a web site. Just pull up the Yahoo web site and click on "mail" and there it is. To get a short cut-----with the mail page open, right click a blank spot up near the top and in the drop menu, click on "create shortcut". Then click "yes" (or OK) if asked---"do you want a shortcut on your desktop".
