Why wont it let me change my yahoo display name?

I keep trying to change it from my real name to something else like "Kikikat" or "kiki" or something cute like that. but everytime i try it says "invalid" nothing seems 2 work =/ help?

Try this, if you haven't already.... CHANGE "FROM" NAME IN YAHOO MAIL 1. Click on the "Options", Mail Options link in the upper right of your yahoo mail page. 2. When the options page opens, 3. At the top of the page that opens, in the box across from "From", click in the box and delete what you have in there, and enter a nickname or whatever you would like displayed in outgoing mail. 4. Go to the top left and click the Save Changes icon. CHANGE YAHOO ANSWERS NAME 1. Click the green "My Profile" link at the top right of this page to open your profile page. 2. Click "Edit My Info." 3. Scroll down to the Nickname section, check the radio button next to "Use another nickname, then enter a new one in the box below it. 4. Go to the bottom of the page and click "Preview", then OK to save and close your profile page. CHANGE ACCOUNT NAME 1. Rest your mouse on your "Hi" name and click on Account Info to open your Account Page. Enter your password for verification. 2. Click on Edit/Create Profiles in the right panel, under your Yahoo ID. 3. Click on Create New Profile. 4. Create a display name the you would like to appear in your profile. This will be your "Hi" Name at the top of your Email page. 5. The name you create must be a single word with no spaces and must begin with a letter, no symbols. 6. Click "Finished Editing." CHANGE IM NAME To change you name as it appears in IM box: 1. Log into Yahoo! Messenger. 2. Click on "Messenger." 3. Click on "My Contact Details." 4. From this window, delete all of the names in the boxes above. 5. Enter your Email Address in the box below. 6. Click "Apply" and OK.

You can change how your Name appears on your Outgoing email by Adjusting the ►"FROM" field. Here's how to do it: 1. Click "Options" in the right corner of your Yahoo! Mail page - Click "Mail/More Options". 2. From the list on the Left, click "Accounts". 3. Click "Yahoo! Mail" under *Accounts 4. In the your ►"FROM"' name" field, enter your Name Exactly as you'd like it to Appear in your Outgoing messages/mail. 5. If you leave the "Reply-To" field Blank, your Yahoo! Mail address will be automatically included as the return address in your outgoing messages. If you'd like a different return address to be included, enter it in the Reply-To field 6. Click "Save Changes" to put your new settings into effect. You Have to write something in the "Name" field. If left blank, whatever was written there Before will be Restored and your changes Won't be Saved. ♦You may have to Log Out then Sign back IN for proper changes to occur.
