How do I set an alarm for incoming mail?

How do i set up my e-mail account so that when i get mail there is an alarm or indication of having a new e-ma

  Most email programs have a built in alert sound. However, If you go into your control panels on you computer and click under the section sounds, speech and audio devices and than click on the tab that says "change the sound scheme" than under the sound tab on top scroll down till you find "new mail notification" than you can select from the menu what sound you want to let you know new mail is here. Whatever mail program you use, look under the preferences, there should be a selection some where that allows you to change your sound. THis for windows XP. Hope that helps
