Why won't Mozilla Thunderbird open .doc attachment?

I've downloaded Mozilla Thunderbird so I can create an avatar and it still wont let me?

  • I wanted to make an avatar on Yahoo but it said that I had to download 1 of these Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, Netscape Navigator 7.2, Mozilla Suite 1.7.6 or higher, Mozilla Firefox 1.0.3 or higher Adobe Flash Player 8.0 or higher Or Macintosh OSX One of these browsers: Safari 1.3.1, Safari 2.0.2 or higher, Mozilla Firefox 1.0.2, Adobe Flash Player 8.0 so I downloaded Mozilla Thunderbird and tried again but it still said that I have to download 1 or them again. please can you help me? Thank you! :)

    Thunderbird is an email program. It is not even listed in your list. I use Firefox with no problems. It would have been helpful if you indicated the browser you are currently. All of the latest browsers should support the avatar web site. You also need the Adobe Flash Player. ʎəɿʞɹɐq  ̊ ͜͡● ̊
