Why is my personal name visible in my emails?

I already changed to my married name on my profile, why is it under my maiden name when I receive emails?

• I changed to my married name under my yahoo profile after I got married. I keep receiving my emails under my maiden name. How would I go about changing to my married name in the "to" (or the recipient) column of the email? Please help, I'm tired of getting mail in my maiden name.

  Well, one thing to do is to change your name on your outgoing emails. To do this, sign into your email account, then click Options, General Preferences. At the top you'll see "from name", change your name there. Be sure to click Save when done. Once you've done that, your outgoing emails will show your new name in front of your email address. As for incoming emails, you can't change those because you don't originate them. You could send an email asking that person/company to update your email address with your new name.
