How do I update my display name?

I don't see how to change my display name. Can someone help as the answers under help aren't working for me since I can't find the link for general preferences. I checked under General and I still don't see display name. Thanks.

For YA: Go to your YA profile by clicking on your avatar or the <my activity> tab at the top of this page, click "edit my preferences", go to "change name", mark "use a nickname just for Answers", type it in the box, hit "submit". If you want to change your name across all Yahoo services, go here: http://pulse.yahoo.com/y/profile

Go here , http://answers.yahoo.com/my-activity/edit/about click Change name. Put in new name click save, at the bottom of the next page click Submit.
